Here’s a funny story about how I stumbled (literally) upon the idea of reusable silicone patches for wrinkles.
While traveling, at a hotel, I walked into a dark-painted bathroom door in the middle of the night and developed a little keloid on my forehead. After that, my esthetician recommended using a silicone scar sheet to heal and remove the scar. It flattened the scar and the mark disappeared! Quickly, too.
I put these patches on my forehead and saw a visible improvement in forehead fine lines and creases. Also, I notoriously have dry skin and found the silicone did a great job at sealing in hydration as well.
After lots of searching, I realized it was very difficult to find any of these silicone sheets for scar removal manufactured in the US; all I could find were products created overseas. Additionally, what worried me the most was that laws are laxer in some other countries, especially when it comes to the required ingredient listing.
I was nervous about buying silicone patches for my forehead without a guarantee of what was really touching my skin. Then, just like that, I started Evanish Skincare. Being transparently manufactured and medical-grade is deep in our company’s ethos and is foundational to our story.
